An amazing and diverse lineup coming up for you this Sunday August 31st at the M Room in Philadelphia.
First up is the musical muse of Sheboygan Wisconsin’s Erik Neave, Cedarwell, whose powerful, darkly intense acoustic based songs will have you mesmerized. If you like artists like Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes or Jose Gonzales you need to hear Cedarwell.

Cedarwell – Home

“Loud. Quiet. Steady. Fierce.” is how a quote from JP05‘s bio about the solo effort of Brooklyn songwriter Jeff Patlingrao starts. It continues on… In comparative terms, you might think Elliott Smith meets Sonic Youth meets “Execution…” era Rilo Kiley. There have also been mentions of someone named Hendrix linked to describing JP05‘s comet-blasting live show.

I really can’t think of a better way to describe their music so I’ll leave you with that. In the JP05 live band is also BOS favorite, talented multi-instrumentalist Shawn Fogel stepping behind the drums.

JP05 – Don’t Tell Julia

San Francisco’s Beaten By Them bring a mostly instrumental sound that melds classical, jazz, rock and more. At times orchestral and ethereal, other times loud and intense it’s always interesting.

Beaten By Them – Yangtzee

Upsincefriday, the hometown team closes the night with a sound combining influences from the Beatles to Husker Du and all points in between into their their catchy melodic guitar driven tunes.
