New Music : Saturna – Some Delicious Enemy

If you’re a fan of bands like Ride, Lush, Catherine Wheel or The Stone Roses you need to add Portland, Oregon’s Saturna to your list. Their new album Some Delicious Enemy more than holds it’s own against any of those band’s releases. It’s an incredibly infectious blend of massive sounding guitars and powerful drumming, topped with soaring, reverb soaked vocals as melodic as Oasis used to know how to write. Saturna’s sound redefines what was once labeled as shoegaze and brings it into the present with music that envelops you in its grandiosity. Turn it up as loud as you can and let the immense sound wash over you and carry you away. A perfect summer album, every song is great, it was hard to pick which ones to bring you. If you like the samples you’ll love the whole album. A best of 2007 contender for sure.

Saturna is
Ryan Carroll – vocals, guitar, bass
Steve Anderson – vocals, guitar, bass
Eric Block – guitar
Matt Badger – drums

MP3: Saturna – Roll Down
Mp3: Saturna – Chasing The Unpredictable
