2009 Christmas Song Of The Day 22
A special holiday song for you today with some Philadelphia flavor to it. It’s from the Blood Feathers, who are the first band on the brand new Philebrity record label, with their excellent record Goodness, Gracious which is currently available on iTunes, and is coming soon on CD and vinyl in the new year.
Watch for it.

2009 Christmas Song Of The Day 21
One for the shortest day of the holiday season and of the year from Philadelphia’s own Hoots And Hellmouth. Back in the long warm days of summer they released one of the great records of the year, The Holy Open Secret. A perfect choice to mark the turning point as we head back into those longer hours of sunlight each day.

2009 Christmas Song Of The Day 20
Not really a holiday song I suppose, but since I spent the bulk of yesterday digging out from under the big east coast blizzard, here’s one in honor of the snow day many people experienced yesterday or today

Wherever you may be travelling during this week leading up to Christmas, head home safely, especially if you happen to be stuck on the snow bound eastern US. Sitting here, stuck in a hotel room for the weekend thinking about all of the things I want to do when I get home. Here’s Snow Patrol waxing poetic about what they’ll do. Happy holidays everyone !

Music, arrangements, recording and production, all male voices, Halion Symphonic Orchestra, upright bass, paint stirrers, sopranino recorder, soprano recorder, alto recorder, tenor recorder, and bass recorder by Chris Mezzolesta.

2009 Christmas Song Of The Day 16
A stripped down post today because I’m working from a mac laptop in a hotel room , and since I’m basically mac challenged(I’m a PC person and can’t figure out how to do half the things I want to on this thing). Here’s a new holiday song from former Philly fave now Brooklyn band, power poppers The Canon Logic. Hopefully this link will work, if not I’ll repost tomorrow (Link Updated) when I have access to my PC back. Rock on.
